When A Man's Door Never Closes, History Keeps Records

When A Man's Door Never Closes, History Keeps Records

In politics, some doors are automatic, they open only when cameras arrive and shut once promises are made. But in Ijesaland, there exists a rare exception: Hon. Ibukun Fadipe, a man whose door has remained open, not for show, not for strategy, but for people.

Since the PDP movement took root in Osun State, Hon. Ibukun Fadipe has not known the luxury of locking his gate against party members, leaders, youths, or the ordinary man on the street. His house has become a refuge, his ears a listening post, and his shoulders a resting place for shared pains and collective hopes. If leadership were a marketplace, he would be the trader who sells empathy, courage, and action, without inflation.

While others calculate politics with calculators and conscience with excuses, Hon. Fadipe measures leadership in human lives touched. He has laughed with the people, cried with them, and stood with them when it was unpopular to stand.

That is not weakness; that is strength with humanity.

Hon. Ibukun Fadipe is not a decorative leader. He is courageous, dogged, and ever battle-ready, not a keyboard general but a field warrior. Young, energetic, brave, and tireless, he does not retreat at the sound of resistance. He advances with clarity, conviction, and courage.

At a time when the collective interest of Osun East is being traded by political scavengers, men who feed on ambition and vomit promises the people are in dire need of a different breed of leadership. We need a man who values humanity over hunger for power, service over self, and people over personal gain.

Osun East does not need political lilliputians masquerading as giants. We need a political juggernaut, rugged in resolve, firm in action, and fearless in purpose.

Let it be known: the people of Osun East must not rush decisions out of desperation. This is not the season of haste but of clarity. Not the time for noise, but for strategy. The people must be resolute, firm, and rugged, ready to act decisively at the appropriate moment.

History favours those who wait wisely, and rewards those who choose rightly.

Governor Adeleke Knocks Bola Oyebamiji, Flaunts his in Government's Impressive Records in the Health Sector

Governor Adeleke Knocks Bola Oyebamiji, Flaunts his in Government's Impressive Records in the Health Sector

Governor Ademola Adeleke has described comments ascribed to Mr Bola Oyebamiji on the state of Osun Health sector as “a baseless disinformation attempt” which only deepened the isolation of the opposition candidate in the minds of the public.

“It is like the opposition candidate is living in another world because Osun today and from 2024, is number one across the South West in the area of provision of primary health care. When the Ikire man was in government, Osun was nowhere within the 10 digits.

“Over 200 health centres were renovated under my watch and another phase of renovation is presently ongoing. Under the previous government, the APC candidate was part of the committee that mismanaged the 20 million dollar World Bank grant meant for renovation of primary health care centers. Osun won't return to the days of insensitive leaders.

“Unlike the APC government under which Mr Oyebamiji was a key actor,  we upgraded hospitals with medical equipment and facilities for proper care. Our scorecards include procurement of modern operating materials for the wards and operating theatres;. purchase of digital medical devices, including sphygmomanometers, pulse oximeters, thermometers, and CPAP machines (VAYU models); acquisition of an electrophoresis (Genotype) machine, digital X-ray printer, and automated electronic device to enhance diagnostic capacity; establishment and commencement of renal dialysis services through a Public–Private Partnership arrangement; procurement of air conditioners for clinical units and patient care areas through donor support; establishment of a new theatre pharmacy, providing immediate access to essential drugs and consumables within the surgical complex; and provision of a mini-bus for hospital use and an ongoing project for a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) among others.

“As a humane government, our Imole Medical outreaches benefited close to 100, 000 residents. Indigent  residents in need of surgeries were attended to on three occasions across the nine federal constituencies with more still planned for the 2026 session. Our government has approved renovation of two General Hospitals. Other renovations and upgrades will follow.

“Under the APC candidate, the medical associations and staff in public hospitals were financially strangulated and treated as sub-humans. Under my watch and within the context of workers’ welfare, I went extra miles to restore the dignity of medical personnel. I care for the resident medical doctors among others.

“Our government approved and implemented the  Medical Residency Training Fund at the Osun State Teaching Hospital, the first state owned teaching hospital to implement this in the entire country. We approved and implemented new hazard allowance, accoutrement allowance, new minimum wage, 50% tax waiver on call duty allowance and shift allowance, one for one replacement of doctors, and renovation of all the doctors call rooms.

“Our government regularized previously unconfirmed staff from the 2012 and 2013 employment batches; conducted and implemented promotion exercises  for nurses and other categories of staff, restoring due career progression; approved increment in allowances for contract staff and visiting consultants, alongside wage improvements for casual workers; ensured payment of outstanding debts alongside restoration of pharmaceutical suppliers and essential supplies among others”, the governor was quoted in the statement.

While describing the above as small highlights of the administration’s accomplishments in the health sector, Governor Adeleke said Oyebamiji should be ashamed of the sordid records of a government under which he was a key player, positing that Osun health sector has become a model attested to by the state winning the primary health care challenge in both 2024 and 2025.

He lamented that Oyebamiji is a leading actor in the drive to strangulate Osun financially, wondering how somebody who is working day and night to stop Osun from developing can still be bold enough to deliver fake promises at a gathering of medical professionals who are benefitting immensely from the present administration.

Adire Hub is Next Phase of Osun Adire Initiative - SSG

Adire Hub is Next Phase of Osun Adire Initiative - SSG

The organising committee of the Adire Osun Festival has appealed to stakeholders to properly understand the agenda of the state government for the sector, clarifying that the next phase of the programme after the ongoing festival is the development and nurturing of the Adire industrial hub for practitioners and entrepreneurs.

In a statement signed by its chairman who is also the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye, the committee narrated that the current activities are designed to revive the culture of Adire patronage and the reassertion of Osun as the birthplace of Adire.

He clarified the government position that the festival and the carnival are targeting acceptability of adire among all strata of the society after which the government in partnership with the private sector will develop an Adire Industrial Hub where entrepreneurs and stakeholders in the sector can operate and market their products.

The committee chairman who referenced his earlier meeting with the Adire makers submitted that the government’s plan for the Adire industrial Hub is not a 2025 plan, citing several factors including financing, land approval and industrial hub design.

“ I am therefore reiterating that developing an Adire Industrial hub is not part of the ongoing plan. We have secured the authorisation of Mr Governor to work on the industrial hub in the nearest future to take care of the interest of private sector actors across Osun state.

“ I am also appealing to the Adire makers to understand the policies and programmes of the government for the sector. When finally the hub is to be created, the Adire makers will be duly included in the processes. This is what was done for Ajegunle society as well as the Osun State Chamber of Commerce.

The Osun State Government remains committed to the promotion, protection, and development of Adire as a cultural heritage and an economic driver. We believe that sustainable growth in this sector requires collaboration between government and the private sector, not misinformation or unnecessary tension.

I urge all stakeholders to act in good faith and engage constructively as we collectively work towards building a viable and enduring Adire economy for Osun State.

Banditry Attacks: Military Backed Operations Underway at Ora and Border Towns- Governor Adeleke

Banditry Attacks: Military Backed Operations Underway at Ora and Border Towns- Governor Adeleke

● Commiserates with Ora Igbomina People

● Issues New Operational Guidelines For Amotekun Security Service

● Urges a Limit to Night Time Events

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has commiserated with the people of Ora Igbomina over recent banditry attacks, assuring that a military backed rescue and protection security operation has been underway for the past three days.

Speaking after an emergency security council meeting held on Wednesday evening, the Governor described the Ora incident as saddening and a major security breach even after almost all the water tight pre-emptive precautions already put in place in the last three months.

Reviewing the development with service commanders from the police, the army, the secret service and other paramilitary agencies, Governor Adeleke expressed confidence that the ongoing military backed security operations across the border towns would prevent recurrence of the attacks and also secure the release of the kidnapped retired custom officer.

“From the moment of the unfortunate incident, our security forces have launched a rescue and protection operations. For the past three days, both the police, the army and the DSS have been combing the areas for rescue and also reviewing the security apparatus. A delicate operation is ongoing and we dont want to jeopardise the integrity of the process.

As part of our security plan, we will soon deploy the refurbished armoured tanks for operations across the state. We are also procuring patrol vehicles to strengthen police and security operations in the state. Additionally, we are reviewing the joint security patrol programme. It will be unveiled at the right time to further protect our people”, the governor noted.

To forestall any further security breach and possible spillover from Kwara state, Governor Adeleke has issued a new operational guidelines for the Amotekun security service, directing the Amotekun leadership to ensure proper coordination with the police in their operations.

The governor directed that an operational meeting be held between the police authorities and the Amotekun service to ensure proper coordination in future operations, warning that working in silos will no longer be tolerated.

Osun 2026: The Question That Oyebamiji Must Ask Himself By Sarafa Ibrahim

Osun 2026: The Question That Oyebamiji Must Ask Himself

By Sarafa Ibrahim

By next year, Osun electorate will go to the poll to vote in the state's governorship election. According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), electorate in Osun will go to the poll on August 8th, 2026 to cast their ballot, and already, political parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC), are racing over themselves to gain the votes of the people.

The APC was booted out of power in 2022 as Osun voters vehemently rejected the idea of prolonging the harrowing experience that the party characterized. It was basically a referendum on the direction that the APC was leading Osun onto, and the verdict of the people was quite resounding. So, if the APC is looking to come back, the question Bola Oyebamiji must ask himself is– what will the APC be doing differently in Osun?

APC is not something new to Osun people and the image of the party that I am sure resonates well with the people is misery, pains, misgovernance, debt binge, financial recklessness and poor attitudes to welfare. In the 12 years that the party was in charge of Osun, the state was submerged in the aura of hopelessness as bad financial decisions not only pile pressures on the benefits of that moment but also burdens the future.

It was so bad in the four years of Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola as ineptitude was elevated as the answer to governance, contributing to the uninspiring outlook in output in almost all sectors, which severely impacted on the people. This made the job of the electorate easier, opting for Governor Ademola Adeleke and so far, he has made the choice of the people counted for the better in the two years he's being in office.

In the 2026 governorship poll, Osun APC will run basically on its past record in governance and I am afraid, it is not something the people will be willing to embrace. To make matter worse, the APC is presenting Bola Oyebamiji, who was an integral part of the ugly past that Osun people do not want to be reminded of, not to talk of reliving it. This must be why it has been doing everything to avoid anything that would remind the people of what the past it reflects looked like because it was ugly and unpleasant.

Even more interesting is the fact that many of the things it made the people believe were impossible when it held sway in the administration of Osun state are things that Governor Adeleke is doing conveniently. Despite the fact the Oyetola was part of the Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola administration that accumulated 30 months half salary to workers, he made no effort whatsoever to pay from the debt throughout the 48-month that his administration lasted and at a point, the workers and pensioners are beginning to lose up of getting what they were actually due for.

Interestingly, Oyebamiji was the Commissioner of Finance who supervised the era of pains and misery for the people. Accruals and interventions were merely for the paperworks as the people who should actually feel them were abandoned, creating a despicable scene of pensioners queuing on the streets to receive help from NGOs as if they are refugees.

Governor, however, relived their hopes, and has so far paid eight months for active workers and pensioners who have received their bonds while senior citizens who are yet to get their bonds have received as much as 16 months. The same with the five-month cooperative deductions owed by the Oyetola administration, which Governor Adeleke has paid off.

Instead of accepting that it failed, especially to the families that its poor attitudes to welfare of pensioners and workers impacted, Osun APC is fond of regurgitating a lie that Governor Adeleke promised to offset the wage-related debts it amassed in six months. Apart from the fact that the lie is against logic given the humongous nature of the liabilities, Osun APC has failed to show anywhere (be it through statement or video recording) such commitment was conveyed. So far, Governor Adeleke has expended over N60 billion on pensions, gratuities, bonds of pensioners in three years, an amount that far outweighed what Oyetola spent for the same purpose in four years.

For active workers, the story is not any different. In 2019, Oyetola approved promotion for workers in the state, however, he didn't implement the financial benefit that comes with it till he left office in November 2022. And just as the other misdeeds of the APC administration, Oyebamiji is at the centre of this failure to Osun workers. People waited in vain as the administration which Oyebamiji served as the Commissioner for Finance, refused to honour words with action, which was implementation.

It was Governor Adeleke who implemented the financial benefits of the promotion and cash backed it. Similarly, Oyetola waited until November 2020 to implement minimum wage that signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari in April 2019, making workers to wait for at least 18 months. In the case of Governor Adeleke, he implemented the minimum wage signed into law by President Bola Tinubu in July 2024 in December 2024. The difference is quite clear and I'm sure Osun workers are not oblivious of this salient fact.

When the APC talk about infrastructure, it only reminds us of how terrible things was in the past. When Governor Adeleke took the reigns in Osun state, infrastructure deficit was at a staggering 80 percent, with intrastate and other road networks within the state in a deplorable condition. Sights of abandoned projects littered the state as Oyetola-led government which Oyebamiji served in abandoned projects inherited from predecessor.

At the heart of this neglect was the East bypass road, which Oyetola let his political friction with predecessor, Aregbesola, to get in the way of completion. It took the coming of Governor Adeleke for contractors to return to site and complete the over 6km section of the dual carriageway abandoned by the previous government. The same thing happened with the 10.5km dual carriage Osogbo-Ikirun-Ila Odo-Kwara boundary road which Governor Adeleke completed.

In Ile-Ife, the first flyover in the cradle of Yoruba race is at the verge of completion just as the first the dual carriage road in Ilesa has been delivered. In Ede, the Akoda-Oke Gada dual carriageway has been completed and in Iwo, the first-ever dual carriageway is ongoing and as usual, being done by Governor Adeleke. Governor Adeleke is also building the first-ever dual carriageway in Ila-Orangun and the third phase of the Osogbo-Ikirun-Ila Odo-Kwara road, which will pass through Inisa is ongoing as we speak.

Talk of Osogbo, the state capital and you would be marvelled by the level of infrastructural renaissance that Governor Adeleke has undertaken in three years. Starting with the 10-span Oke-Fia overhead bridge that headline the remarkable transformation, Governor Adeleke built the 2.2km Old Garage-Lameco dual carriageway and at the verge of completing the four-span flyover at Lameco.

Anywhere you look in Osun state, you will hardly miss the sight of one project or the other being executed by the Adeleke administration as several road projects in each of the 30 local governments and area office embarked on simultaneously have bee delivered and now serving the people. In the whole of Osun state, the Adeleke administration has constructed more than 250km of roads and this is just in three years.

Before now, the APC make Osun people to believe most of the physical developments manifesting in the state were not possible. This must be why the Osun APC bandies imaginary figures as revenue that accrues to the Adeleke administration just to excuse its glaring failures.

But the question they have failed to provide an answer to is, what did they do with the revenue that accrued to the coffer of the state when they managed its affairs? What happened to the huge amount of funds the APC administration drew from creditors that strained Osun financial standings and for which many citizens suffered a great deal of pains as over N2 billion from current earnings is used to service debt every month? The simple truth is, the Osun APC is terrible past that no reasonable mind will want to re-enact.

In 2018, Osun secured a $20.5 million grant to renew the infrastructure of primary healthcare centres to enhance service delivery. But the huge receipt failed to achieve the purpose it was meant for as the supposedly rehabilitated PHCs were shabbily done, ignoring standards set by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Governor Adeleke has fixed the problem, delivering so far the wholly rehabilitation of the infrastructure 200 PHCs across the state in line with the WHO standards so as to provide citizens with a better opportunity for healthy living.

For four years, the Oyetola administration, which Oyebamiji was an active participant, watched public schools infrastructure to rot away. Counterpart funds to access money that would improve the infrastructure of public schools was left unpaid and that leaves a great number of students to learn in an unsafe environment as most structures of public schools were deplorable. It is Governor Adeleke that is solving this problem, investing funds into rehabilitating schools and equipping them with furniture and other essentials to aid qualitative learning.

So far, a total of 631 classrooms with offices in 125 basic schools has been rehabilitated while 323 new classrooms with offices, hall and laboratories in 96 basic schools have been built. Other infrastructures provided in schools across Osun in two years included thirty-nine new six-holes squatting toilets in 39 basic schools, forty-one boreholes with reticulations in 41 basic schools, thirty motorized deep well water with reticulation and the construction of 30 perimeter fences with metal gate in 30 basic schools. Construction and rehabilitation of schools and related infrastructure in primary and junior schools across the 30 local governments in the state and the area office while the upgrade of EMIS (Educational Management Information System) units in the 31 LGEAs with new laptops and new printers each for effective data collection and data processing for real time school data and information management.

There is hardly any sector you will look at and the horrible mark of the APC misgovernance will not stare you right in the face. In the agriculture sector, for instance, the APC did not buy a single tractor to aid farming operations in the state in the entire twelve years it was in charge of the state. The most troubling thing is that, it sold off some of the tractors bought by the Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola administration, negatively impacting food production effort in the state. The Adeleke administration has taken procured 31 new tractors with full implements to aid farmers operations and improve productivity.

In fighting natural disasters, the APC were horrible as no firefighter truck was bought for the state fire services throughout his time in power. However, Governor Adeleke has bought seven new firefighter trucks to empower the state fire services with the capacity to fight fire incidents, thereby, saving lives and properties.

And to cap it all, Governor Adeleke has done exceptionally well in human capital development, showing that the strength of any society is its people. Under Oyebamiji's guidance during the APC's twelve years rule in Osun, cooperative societies were left to die owing to lack of support and that seriously hurt small businesses who relies on that form of finance structure for credit. But Governor revived it, providing not just a staggering N4bn capital that would power businesses, but also breathe life to the cooperative school in Ode-Omu to provide training ground for manpower in the sector.

In addition to this, the Adeleke administration engaged ten thousand (10,000) Imole Corps cadet to render social services in their respective localities and unlike the pittance of N12,000 stipend for OYES cadet under the APC administration, N30,000 is being paid to volunteers every month. Several interventions have also been extended to persons with disabilities (PWD), ranging from enrollment on a broad healthcare coverage to the provision of mobility tools and other form of supports to make life a bit easier for them. Under the APC, they were neglected.

Clear enough, the APC has been bad for Osun and having it back will most certainly take the state back to the sordid past that should be better forgotten. Osun APC is bad on welfare of workers and pensioners, bad on healthcare, bad on managing our differences, bad on schools infrastructure, bad on agriculture, bad on almost everything. So, what exactly does APC and Oyebamiji want with Osun? Exert more pains?

Osun 2026: I will Beat Oyebamiji for Continuity of Good Governance and Peoples Government - Governor Adeleke

Osun 2026: I will Beat Oyebamiji for Continuity of Good Governance and Peoples Government - Governor Adeleke

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has reaffirmed the full determination of Osun people to defeat the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the 2026 polls, declaring unequivocally “I will beat Oyebamiji by the might of God and people”

Reacting to statements credited to Mr Gboyega Oyetola at the APC guber Primary on Saturday, the governor described the minister's hope for victory as “wishful thinking, illusory grandstanding and a failure to accept the deep level of unpopularity of APC among the people of Osun state”

Calling Oyetola regime an anti-people era in Osun history, Governor Adeleke lamented the run down state of affairs when he took over the state in 2022, tagging Oyetola reign “a dark page in Osun socio-political history, a period neither labour nor any segment of our population want re-enacted”

The governor who boasted of a mass movement behind his re- election bid mocked the minister and the APC for embarking on anti-democratic activities instead of marketing themselves to the people and potential voters.

“If you are sure you have the votes of the people, why are you deploying anti-democratic means to stop the unstoppable will of our people? It is shameful and reprehensible that those who claim to be popular are dead scared to face the people in a free and fair election.

Governor Adeleke, speaking on Sunday through his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, described the claim as "a clear misreading of the political reality in Osun State, the people of the State are fully satisfied with the people-oriented and responsive governance being delivered by the present administration.

"Osun citizens are enjoying a government that prioritises workers’ welfare, infrastructural renewal, healthcare delivery, education, and inclusive development, and therefore have no desire to return to the era of hardship, neglect, and anti-people policies associated with the APC’s 12-year rule in the State."

"You and your proxy, now the APC’s governorship candidate, were central figures in the mismanagement that plunged Osun State into economic distress, characterised by half salaries, mounting debts, and poor service delivery to the people. Osun will not go back to the dark days”, the governor was quoted as saying.

Governor Adeleke emphasised that his administration is currently reversing those damages and restoring dignity to governance in the State as attested to by several awards and recognition including the newest one, the winner of Primary health care leadership challenge for South West.

He further asserted that the impressive performance of his administration across all critical sectors has earned the trust and confidence of the people, who are determined to defend the gains of good governance at the polls.

“As the August 8, 2026 gubernatorial election approaches, Osun people are fully aware that a vote for the APC and its candidate is a vote for a return to the failures of the past. Such a regression is one the people of Osun are not prepared to entertain,” the Governor stated.

Governor Adeleke reaffirmed his commitment to sustained delivery of democratic dividends and urged Osun citizens to disregard political propaganda, assuring them of continued focus on people-centred development.

Osun Youths Rally Behind Governor Adeleke as He Unveils New Party

Osun Youths Rally Behind Governor Adeleke as He Unveils New Party

●Ademola Adeleke being the most youth-friendly Governor of Osun, is the political compass of young people in the state.

The Osun Youth Coalition has declared strong support for Governor Ademola Adeleke following the unveiling of his new political platform, describing the development as a timely and strategic step that aligns with the expectations of young people across the state.

In a statement issued in Osogbo, Babawale Jamiu Popoola, Spokesperson of the Osun Youth Coalition, said the coalition’s position is grounded in clear and measurable progress recorded under the current administration. According to him, youths are not offering symbolic support but are responding to visible reforms, opportunities and inclusion.

“Ademola Adeleke being the most youth-friendly Governor of Osun, is the political compass of young people in the state,” Babawale said.

He explained that young citizens have enjoyed the highest level of participation in government under Governor Adeleke, ranging from strategic appointments to opportunities in technology, innovation and civic programmes. He listed the evident youth empowerments, prioritization of youth-focused policies, the e-governance rollout and the Governor’s continued engagements with youth organisations as key factors behind their endorsement.

Popoola added that the newly unveiled party provides a credible and organised platform through which young people can drive political ideas, influence policies and contribute to a progressive vision for Osun. He noted that the party’s emerging structure reflects the values young people seek; fairness, openness and development-focused leadership.

He highlighted the Governor’s record in education upgrades, community development projects, welfare improvements and his consistent accessibility as further justification for the coalition’s support. These, he said, have earned him trust and positioned him as a unifying figure among youth constituencies.

Babawale Jamiu Popoola said the coalition is ready to mobilise across all local governments, using grassroots networks and digital channels to build broad support for the Governor and the new political movement.

Governor Adeleke, acknowledging the show of solidarity, restated his commitment to a political environment where young people contribute directly to policy formation, governance and the advancement of Osun State.

Accord Will Deliver Adeleke for Second Term in 2026" – National Chairman

Accord Will Deliver Adeleke for Second Term in 2026" – National Chairman

 ● Hails Governor's Exceptional Record Across All Sectors

The National Chairman of the Accord Party, Barr. Maxwell Mgbudem, has declared the party’s unwavering commitment to secure a landslide re-election for Governor Ademola Adeleke in the 2026 Osun State gubernatorial election.

The declaration was made Tuesday evening at the historic and well-attended unveiling of Governor Adeleke as the party’s standard-bearer at the Osun State Government House.

Barr. Mgbudem, addressing a gathering of top party stalwarts, state executives, and national leaders, expressed profound admiration for Governor Adeleke’s tenure.

“Today, we are not just unveiling a candidate; we are embracing a proven performer,” he stated.

“We have keenly followed and commended the Governor for the exceptional work he has been doing since he assumed office. His transformative impact cuts across all sectors from infrastructure and education to healthcare, workers' welfare, and rural development. This is the brand of holistic, people-focused governance that the Accord Party stands for.”

He framed the governor’s defection as a monumental alignment of vision and validated performance.

“Accord is immensely proud to formally unveil His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke and his team, as partners in the new political direction we are charting for Nigeria. This is a bold statement. It is a convergence of a party built on ideals and a leader who embodies competence, accessibility, and genuine service.”

The National Chairman elaborated on the synergy between the Governor’s achievements and the party’s core philosophy.

“Our collaboration is built on shared, non-negotiable values: transparency, unity, and purposeful governance”, the National Chairman noted, noting that Governor Adeleke’s record in Osun is a living testament to Accord’s creed, which prioritizes nation-building over noise, solutions over sentiments, and tangible results over empty rhetoric.

Speaking with conviction on the upcoming election, Barr. Mgbudem issued a confident guarantee: “Therefore, let our position be clear to all: The Accord Party is not merely a platform; we are a formidable machinery for victory. The people of Osun have witnessed and felt the positive changes.

“In 2026, they will reaffirm their mandate through the ballot. With our revitalized national structure and collective resolve, the Accord Party will deliver His Excellency, Governor Ademola Adeleke, for a second term to consolidate and expand the transformative work already in motion.”

He concluded by stating that the event marked a significant expansion of the party’s national influence, inviting “all stakeholders and every Nigerian who desires a credible alternative to join this growing movement anchored on character, competence, and clarity.”

As Ademola Adeleke defeats APC again

As Ademola Adeleke defeats APC again

Dissecting the political intricacies in Osun State from panoramic prism of critical analysis, one can logically and safely conclude that members of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State are the greatest political illiterates ever emerged in the political history of the South West geo-political zone.

These political greenhorns failed to realize that the popularity of their party abysmally waned at the tail end of Rauf Aregbesola 's tenure in 2018, as a result of policy summersaults that impoverished the people of Osun the more and set the State on reverse gear. The fact that led to the "Remote Control" methodology by the Muhammadu Buhari's administration, which brought Adegboyega Oyetola to power in 2018.

Unfortunately, Oyetola, as the face of the party from November 27, 2018 possesses neither political sagacity nor native intelligence of a leader in the contemporary African setting, it seems he has learnt nothing and forgotten nothing from his Uncle's political school of thought despite his age-long affinity with the school.

The personality of Oyetola as well as the sycophancy of those political neophytes with sheer bravado that surrounded him reduced the popularity of the party by 40 per cent within 36 months. These are people with no moral decency, emotional intelligence and intellectual prowess to engage the political community of Osun and win their hearts to their side, they ignorantly behaved as if they were contesting councillorship election in 2022 and lost ignominiously without pity from all Nigerians.

Fast forward to the countdown to 2026 election, those who messed APC up in 2022 dubiously regrouped again and this time around, they are leaving in their foolish paradise by basking in the euphoria of Federal might to win election for them. They were whispering balderdash among themselves that President Bola Tinubu would manipulate the system to their advantage irrespective of the weakness of their preparation towards the poll.

They vehemently resisted the move by Governor Ademola Adeleke to join their party out of selfishness and parochial tendencies and even went ahead to ostracise political giants within their party and settled for a political embryo, Bola Oyebamiji, who have never contested any election in his entire life as their flag bearer. This is the man that doesn't understand the political arrangement of senatorial districts calling Osun West senatorial district 'Westorial". What a shame!

Those who are supporting this political weakling are the remnant of traditional political jobbers of Oyetola extraction, who are thinking from their anus and firmly standing logic in it's head.

Mark my words, even if APC combines the likes of Iyiola Omisore, Ajibola Bashir, Kunle Adegoke and Bola Oyebamiji together as one candidate to contest the August 8, 2026 election, that Ede politician will still win because as it stands, apart from handful of APC party faithful, no segment of Osun society supports APC. From artisans to peasants, market women and particularly civil servants, it's Ademola Adeleke or nobody.

So, presenting a political rookie like Oyebamiji is a walk over for Ademola Adeleke, and these APC nitwits should be educated that only an averagely popular candidate and party can enjoy electoral manipulation in whatever way not a PARIAH PARTY like APC in Osun State and colourless candidate like AMBO.

Finally, I congratulate Governor Ademola Jackson Adeleke, the man with unexplainable GRACE and unprecedented popularity, on his new party, the Accord Party. It's a known fact that the Governor just needs platform to fulfil constitutional requirement, he is indeed the real political party MAJORITY of Osun ELECTORATE are waiting for in on the ballot.

From Crisis To Clarity: Adeleke Charts New Course With Accord Party By Kehinde Adeoye

From Crisis To Clarity: Adeleke Charts New Course With Accord Party

By Kehinde Adeoye

In a development that reshapes Osun State’s political terrain, Governor Ademola Adeleke has formally declared for the Accord Party, ending his long-standing affiliation with the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Adeleke’s decision comes on the heels of months of turbulence within the PDP at the national level. Persistent leadership disputes, parallel factions, and contradictory directives gradually eroded the party’s cohesion and cast uncertainty over its readiness for the 2026 governorship election.

What began as internal disagreements soon escalated into full-blown fractures, with rival camps each claiming national leadership and issuing conflicting instructions.

Faced with this deepening instability, Adeleke tendered his resignation from the PDP a few weeks ago. In his letter, he expressed gratitude for the platform that had supported his political rise, from his senatorial years to his current role as governor. However, he made clear that the ongoing crisis had rendered his continued membership untenable. The resignation immediately triggered conversations about his next political destination.

With mounting pressure from supporters and stakeholders urging him to seek a more stable platform, the governor has now declared for the Accord Party.

His entry was met with enthusiasm by many who described it as a major lift for the party and a defining moment for Osun’s political direction.

Governor Adeleke explained that he joined the Accord Party on November 6th after extensive consultations with stakeholders, noting that the party’s philosophy of welfarism aligns perfectly with his administration’s focus on citizens’ and workers’ welfare. He emphasized that his move to Accord is driven by a desire to complete the ongoing delivery of democratic dividends across the state, adding that good governance, inclusive leadership, and the well-being of the people remain central to his mission.

The governor reaffirmed his commitment to sustaining development across all zones of Osun, Osun West, Osun East, and Osun Central, and described Accord as the new platform for progress, unity, and electoral victory in 2026. He expressed confidence that the people of Osun, who voted for good governance in 2022, will support continuity next year, stressing that Accord represents the collective desire of residents across all communities to uphold and expand the gains of his administration.

While delivering the Governor’s party membership card and flag, the National Chairman of the Accord Party, Chief Maxwell Mgbudem, used a biblical allusion to describe Governor Adeleke as “a light set on a hill that cannot be hidden.” He maintained that the Governor’s second term is “inevitable” because he genuinely deserves it.

The State Chairman, Pastor Victor Akande, also expressed immense delight at the development. He said it was certain that with this new move, Governor Adeleke is destined for another four years. He applauded the Governor’s tremendous infrastructural strides across the nooks and crannies of Osun State, adding that the progress will continue and that “before 12 p.m. on August 8, the party will sing songs of victory.”

Adeleke’s switch immediately transforms Accord into a formidable contender ahead of the 2026 election. The announcement also brings weeks of speculation about his political future to an end, with his supporters already shifting in alignment.

As political actors reposition for the coming electoral cycle, the Accord Party is expected to experience significant growth in the weeks ahead.

For Osun State, Adeleke’s defection marks the beginning of a new political chapter. For Accord, it signifies the arrival of a major figure with broad statewide appeal. And for the PDP, it underscores the consequence of prolonged internal disarray.

For Adeleke himself, the move appears to be a strategic step toward securing a stable, focused platform from which to seek a renewed mandate from the people of Osun

The governor made the announcement today at the Banquet hall of the Government House in the presence of national and state leaders of the Accord Party.

“Stakeholders and residents of Osun state are aware of why we are taking this important decision. We intend to pursue a second term in office on the platform of the Accord Party to complete ongoing delivery of good governance and democratic dividends which have been applauded at home and abroad.

“We opted for the Accord Party because its mission of welfarism aligns with our passionate focus on citizens and workers’ welfare.

The governor spoke further:

“I welcome our party leaders into the Osun state Government House. You are now part of us as I am also now part of you. We are united in progress and good intentions for the good people of Osun state and Nigeria at large.

Our party, Accord Party, is here to take over Osun  governance and sustain the delivery of good governance in our dear state.

“Since I joined the party more than a month ago, I have been fascinated by the philosophy of this great party. The focus on people's welfare should always be at the heart of public leadership. The primary essence of a government is the welfare and well being of the people.

“As a governor, I have prioritized the welfare of our people, from workers to the entire citizenry. Day and night, we implement policies and programmes to elevate the well being of our people. “Osun voted for good governance in 2022 and they will support continuity in 2026. The mass of our people are for continuity and Accord is our party for victory next year.

“In accordance with the will of our stakeholders and to accord deep respect for the wishes of Osun people,  I hereby accordingly declare for the Accord Party”, the governor announced.

Just in- Adeleke to Announce New Party Today

● Why We Form Grand Coalition Behind Adeleke – Opposition Politicians

Osun state political space is presently tension soaked out of huge expectations as to which political party the state governor will align with.

Insiders had announced that the governor will make his choice public today but as at press time, there was no official confirmation.

While names of some political parties have been mentioned, even close allies of the governor are keeping sealed lips as to what direction the governor is going.

Many loyalists of the governor claimed to have an idea of the party of choice but said they are not authorised to mention the said political party.

Aside from the sealed lips of the governor's supporters, a cross party movement has also been noticed in the last few days.

Some chieftains of the APC and ADC are reportedly mobilising a multipartisan movement to move into any party of choice of Mr Governor.

A politician who is involved in the drive noted as follows: “I can tell you many Osun politicians will move into any political party announced by the governor.

“Our people within APC and ADC are going to swell the ranks of the governor and his people. The new party will provide a home for two kinds of politicians in Osun state. Those who are fed up with APC and ADC and those who are in love with the governor’s good performance.

“I fall under those who will support him because of his performance in office. 2026 election is not about political party but about the personality. We are going to the new party because of Ademola”, the politician noted.

Another politician from the APC lamented the situation within the APC and noted that movement out of the APC to the Governor’s side is a matter of days.

“You know what is happening in APC. Our people are disillusioned and you can be sure many of us will aligh with Adeleke. From Ife to Ilesa to central, the Adeleke should expect inflow of people”, he said

It would be recalled that the last one week has witnessed a dramatic shift in Osun political space with a grand coalition reportedly being formed behind any party of choice of the state governor.

According to news reports, top political leaders across the political divides are united in their desire to ensure the governor wins a second term, hence the united front being forged ahead of the polls.

The governor’s exit from the PDP is said to have provided a soft landing for many political leaders and leaders of thought who could not join the governor in his old party but who now feel liberated following the planned movement of the governor into a new party.

“Once the governor declares for a new party, there will be mass defection into that party from other old parties. The signs are there that admirers of the governor in other parties are eager to join him in his new abode.”, a source privy to the development.

JUST IN: Governor Adeleke Denies Responsibility for JUSUN Strike, Says It's Within the Mandate of the Chief Judge

Governor Adeleke Denies Responsibility for JUSUN Strike, Says It's Within the Mandate of the Chief Judge

The attention of Governor Ademola Adeleke has been drawn to the letter dated 8th December 2025, issued by the Forum of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Branch in Osun State, wherein allegations were levelled against His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, and his appointees to the Judicial Service Commission (JSC).

It has therefore become imperative to issue this rejoinder to correct the misrepresentations contained in the petition and to reaffirm the Governor’s unwavering commitment to constitutional governance, the rule of law, and the effective functioning of the judiciary in Osun State.

His Excellency, Governor Adeleke, is deeply concerned about the paralysis of the judiciary in Osun State. The allegations of deliberate refusal or boycott by government-appointed members of the JSC are unfounded. The paralysis of the judiciary is not attributable to any inaction on the part of His Excellency’s appointees, but rather to the persistent refusal of the Honourable Chief Judge to convene meetings of the JSC and to implement the terms of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed during the last strike with members of JUSUN, Osun State Chapter.

The Honourable Chief Judge has, for a continuous period of two years, failed, neglected, and refused to convene any meeting of the Judicial Service Commission. Since the constitution and appointment of the Commission, the Chief Judge has persistently declined to discharge this statutory duty, notwithstanding several letters, formal applications, and repeated reminders duly issued by the Honourable State Attorney General and the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN). This refusal constitutes a grave dereliction of duty and has effectively hindered the proper functioning of the JSC. We challenge the Chief Judge and the NBA to produce a single letter wherein the Chief Judge either convened a meeting of the JSC or directed the Secretary of the Commission to do so.

During the last JUSUN strike, His Excellency personally intervened. On 6th February 2024, the National President of JUSUN, Comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu, led members of his Executive to meet with Governor Adeleke, who appealed for a resolution of the legitimate demands of JUSUN, Osun Chapter. Subsequently, the National President met separately with the Honourable Chief Judge and his team to address the grievances of judicial workers.

In a bid to resolve the impasse, a tripartite Memorandum of Agreement dated 16th February 2024 was executed by:

• Comrade Marwan Mustapha Adamu, mni, National President of JUSUN (for JUSUN);

• Hon. Wole Jimi-Bada, SAN., Honourable Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice (for the Osun State Government); and

• Mr. F. I. Omisade, Honourable Chief Registrar, High Court of Justice (for the Osun State Judiciary).

The MOA contained clear undertakings, including:

• Immediate convening of JSC meetings to reinstate suspended staff.

• Promotion and regularization of qualified staff without delay.

• Withdrawal of all pending court actions against the JSC, JUSUN, and the Attorney-General.

• Payment of 2023 Robe Allowance as budgeted.

• Consideration of 2021 and 2022 Robe Allowances.

• Development of a robust scheme of service for judiciary staff.

• Non-victimization of judicial officers or JUSUN members.

• Preservation of NJC’s supervisory powers.

• Commitment to enable JUSUN to call off its strike in the public interest.

Despite the Governor’s compliance with the MOA, the Chief Judge has refused to implement her obligations, particularly the convening of JSC meetings. It is therefore unjust to hold the Governor responsible for the continued strike when the Chief Judge has failed to act. The principle of separation of powers dictates that the Chief Judge, as Chairman of the JSC, bears the responsibility to convene meetings. The ball is squarely in the court of the Chief Judge.

Several letters attest to the Chief Judge’s refusal to convene JSC meetings, including:

• Ref: OSJD/CJ/VOL.1/24/10 dated 11th March 2024, wherein the Chief Judge expressly declined to summon a meeting.

• Ref: JUSUN/NHQ/SUB27/VOL11/37 dated 10th July 2024, signed by Comrade M.J. Akwashiki, Ag. General Secretary of JUSUN, addressed to the Chief Judge.

• A joint letter by members of the JSC requesting the Chief Judge to convene a meeting in compliance with the MOA

It is false and misleading to allege that government appointees boycotted JSC meetings. The incontrovertible fact remains that the Chief Judge has never convened any meeting of the JSC in accordance with Section 203 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 (as amended). The only attempt at a meeting was an unconstitutional directive by Hon. Justice Shiyanbola, President of the Customary Court of Appeal, who verbally instructed the Secretary of the JSC to summon a meeting at the premises of the High Court of Osun State. On the date purportedly fixed, the High Court premises were locked by striking JUSUN members, making attendance impossible.

Prior to the strike, JUSUN repeatedly warned the Chief Judge that industrial action would commence if meetings were not convened. Yet, the Chief Judge neither engaged JUSUN nor addressed their grievances. Indeed, JUSUN communiqués confirm that at the onset of the strike, the Chief Judge travelled abroad, abandoning the State and demonstrating indifference to the crisis.

Furthermore, the Chief Judge refused to personally meet with members of JUSUN. In fact, at the last scheduled meeting between JUSUN and the Chief Judge, members of JUSUN were threatened that they would be arrested on the orders of the Chief Judge.

Government-appointed members of the JSC remain fully committed to restoring normalcy. Their willingness to engage was demonstrated at the emergency meeting of 17th November 2023, where the Honourable Attorney-General was nominated to coordinate proceedings in the absence of both the Chief Judge and the President of the Customary Court of Appeal.

It is imperative to note that His Excellency, Governor Adeleke, remains steadfast in his commitment to safeguarding the rule of law, strengthening democratic institutions, and ensuring that the judiciary resumes full operations without delay. The Government of Osun State and its appointees to the JSC stand ready to resolve all outstanding issues in the overriding interest of justice, constitutional governance, and good administration. Our only plea is that the Chief Judge does the right thing and not resort to cheap blackmail and gimmicks.

Spokesperson to the State Governor.

Breaking: Grand Coalition Emerges Behind Adeleke's Party of Choice

Breaking: Grand Coalition Emerges Behind Adeleke's Party of Choice

As the public awaits announcement of a new party platform, Governor Ademola Adeleke is reported to have built a formidable grand coalition that will fuse into the new party ahead of the 2026 guber race.

Investigations by our reporter indicated that top political leaders across the political divides are united in their desire to ensure the governor wins a second term, hence the united front being forged ahead of the polls.

The governor’s exit from the PDP is said to have provided a soft landing for many political leaders and leaders of thought who could not join the governor in his old party but who now feel liberated following the planned movement of the governor into a new party.

“ Once the governor declares for a new party, there will be mass defection into that party from other old parties. The signs are there that admirers of the governor in other parties are eager to join him in his new abode. The PDP was the stumbling block prior to now”, a source privy to the development.

Those mobilising for the grand coalition cited several reasons among which are the various developmental projects ongoing in major towns across the state, asserting that only the re-election of the governor can ensure the completion of those landmark projects and commencement of their phase two across the towns.

Others cited injustices across the opposition parties in their handling of the governorship primaries, positing that refusal to allow internal democracy justifies silent exit for a new coalition and even predicting imminent implosion of the opposition parties ahead of the election.

While no one from the Adeleke camp is ready to confirm the development, a friend of the Adeleke family boasted that the grand coalition involves labour movements, artisans, youth groups, bureaucratic structures, mobility workers among others.

“Just wait for the governor to make his declaration. Osun people are ready to retain good governance and responsible leadership. Osun leaders and people are engaged in mass revolts against anti-democratic forces. Governor Jackson is going to win second term by landslide”, the family friend noted.

[Breaking]Supreme Court Suggests only Post-Oyetola LG Chairmen Can File Case on LG Fund

[Breaking]Supreme Court Suggests only Post-Oyetola LG Chairmen Can File Case on LG Fund

● Judgement Implies Validity of Appeal Court Judgement Upholding Election of February 22

●Adeleke Congratulates ALGON

The Supreme Court judgement today implies that only local government chairmen elected after the exit of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola have the locus standi to bring the case on Osun LG allocations.

In a landmark judgment, the apex court affirmed further that it is only LGA that can institute the case and not the state government, declaring that the dispute should be between LGA and the AGF.

The court further hinted that the LG chairmen elected after the nullification of the Oyetola administration’s conducted poll ought to have filed the suit.

It dropped strong hints that those who won the 2025 local government election and having been inaugurated are the legally recognized persons that can sue and be sued directly.

The apex court which indirectly validated the Court of Appeal Judgement relied on its earlier judgement which barred the state government from handling LG allocations.

The Appeal Court Judgement had earlier authenticated the mandate of Local Government Chairmen elected on February 22rd who have since been sworn in by the state governor, Ademola Adeleke.

The Apex court which was insistent on upholding LG autonomy suggested that since there is an elected leadership at the local level, the Attorney General of Osun state can not act on their behalf.

The Judgement which was six to one further prompted the LG leadership elected to either take up the case as the mainly affected party or rely on ongoing cases to relay the matter before the Supreme Court.

Legal experts at the hearing noted that the Supreme Court has only returned the matter to the Judgement delivered by the Court of Appeal which recognised the LG chairmen elected in 2025.

“I think the Supreme Court has just pointed out the way out of the imbroglio. The people affected are those they call sit at home chairmen. They should have been the one who will bring the case.

“Indirectly, the Supreme Court has recognised the 2025 elected chairmen. It also implies confirmation that only one set of LG leadership exists today and those are the 2025 set.

“Also the ruling sustains the order on the banks never to release the money to any fake chairmen. It means the Yes/No people who had no tenure in the first place can never touch the money.

“So what is next is for the authentic ALGON to rise to occasion and push for their rights”, the legal hand noted.

Meanwhile, reports indicated that Governor Ademola Adeleke has reportedly congratulated elected chairmen and councillors on their recognition by the apex court which is the highest court in the land.

The governor was reported to have called the chairman of Osun ALGON, Hon. Sarafadeen Awotunde (Spain) shortly after the delivery of the Judgement, describing the outcome as a big plus for grassroots democracy.

“Mr Governor has congratulated ALGON on the outcome. He told us to be happy that finally our mandate has been affirmed by the Supreme Court.

“The Governor asked Spain to tell his people to give glory to God. Today, Spain led ALGON remains the authentic LG leadership according to the apex court”, a chairmen who was with Spain said.

[Breaking]Party Platform: Gov Ademola Adeleke Hosts Multi-Stakeholders Consultations

[Breaking]Party Platform: Gov Ademola Adeleke Hosts Multi-Stakeholders Consultations

Governor Ademola Adeleke has in the last few days been holding consultations with various segments of the state political leadership, interest groups and top flight leaders ahead of his announcement of a new political platform for the 2026 governorship race.

Despite widespread rumours, the governor has not made any pronouncement on the choice of party platform, a situation insiders attributed to his resolve to reach all key stakeholders for inputs and buy in before a public declaration.

The governor was reported to have held a closed door meeting with the former  Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola at his Okuku residence during which the issue of nee political party was extensively discussed and key decisions taken.

The meeting with Oyinlola was particularly significant as the Okuku prince had earlier given hints as to what direction the governor may take after his return from the United States of America. After the meeting, neither the governor nor Prince Oyinlola made a pronouncement on the new party platform.

A similar meeting was said to have been held with Senator Olu Alabi, one of the leading elders of the party in the state and the 1999 governorship candidate of the party. The meeting according to insiders also focused on the choice of a new party.

Just a few days ago, the Governor hosted an enlarged stakeholders forum which involved top leaders from the 30 local governments and Area office, numbering over 1000.

Commissioners, special advisers and top government functionaries were reported to have attended the meeting which again listened to the state governor and other leaders on the state of affairs with respect to party affiliation among others.

A participant at the meeting confirmed that the entire state party structures were in attendance alongside critical leaders of the Adeleke movement, hinting that announcement of a new party platform is expected in the next few days.

“The stakeholders forum actually endorsed the governor’s search for a new party platform. The forum understands the current factionalisation within the PDP and resolved that the governor has every duty to secure a new political party platform to contest the 2026 polls.

“ It was an overwhelming vote of confidence in the governor. It was also an acceptance of the inevitable need to switch to a new political party. Important leaders and operatives within and outside  government political caucus were in attendance. The forum mandated the governor to shop for and announce a new party affiliation as quickly as possible”, the source noted.

Aside from meeting leading stakeholders, the governor had also met elected councillors. The meeting was also attended by councillors from the 332 wards.

A councillor who was at the meeting said all elected local lawmakers endorsed the governor and any platform he may adopt ahead of the 2026 race.

“ We attended the meeting with Mr Governor, the first time a governor will directly meet councillors. He briefed us on the state of the PDP as a political party. We listened to other leaders who spoke among the burning issues.

“ After resolving in-house issues, we pledged support and understanding to Mr Governor. We are committed to working for Mr Governor's re-election”, the local lawmaker noted.

Meanwhile, there are strong indications that Governor Adeleke may announce the new party of choice by next week.

“ Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the governor will announce a new party next week. This has to be done because of the electoral timetable”

We are preparing the next generation. ICT training and annual innovation challenges are creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and job growth. I hereby direct the Ministry of Innovation, Science, Technology, and Digital Economy to deploy Imole EduPods, containerized solar-powered CBT centers, across the state to prepare children for exams and promote digital inclusivity. I also direct the Ministry to establish the Osun Tech Trust Fund to finance these initiatives and strengthen the startup ecosystem.

I am proud to announce the Osun Tech Festival which will be held between February 19–20th, 2026. It will showcase our youth’s creativity, connect local innovators with global partners, and position Osun as a leading destination for technology and enterprise.

For the energy sector, we are expanding the energy mix to liberalize access to power. Our renewable energy drive is on course. We have finalised the legal framework for the energy sector. This will open the sector to private investment and also provide a platform for the regulation of the energy sector.

I have signed into law the Osun State Electricity Market bill. This is a landmark step towards subnational management and expansion of the power sector. The Ministry of Energy is directed to set up an implementation mechanism as quickly as possible.

A similar legal framework has been provided for the empowerment of Tech entrepreneurs within Osun state. Today, I signed into law the Nigerian Start up Act which domesticates the national law. Osun joins one or two other states that have domesticated the law. The implementation will commence in earnest.

In the recent past, I have also signed into law the bill for the regulation of the real estate sector in the state.

I assure Osun people that your government is proactive, innovative and forward thinking. Your government is addressing present challenges and addressing future needs of the next generation.

We provide leadership which does not divert funds meant for projects in our towns and cities. Even when we dance, we never deceive the people by making unfulfilled promises. Our seriousness as a government is measured by our delivery of good governance and democratic dividends. Our governorship delivers within three years what they failed to achieve in more than one decade.

We assert that leadership is not about being mean and sadistic to the citizenry. Wickedness and neglect of people's aspirations are never an attribute of a good leader. Leadership is compassion, responsiveness and satisfaction of the needs of the people.

We affirm that our leadership is a civilised one where people are treated as humans, not as animals. Osun indeed deserves a compassionate leadership, not a set of mean, corrupt and deceitful political fraudsters.
