Breaking: Grand Coalition Emerges Behind Adeleke's Party of Choice

As the public awaits announcement of a new party platform, Governor Ademola Adeleke is reported to have built a formidable grand coalition that will fuse into the new party ahead of the 2026 guber race.

Investigations by our reporter indicated that top political leaders across the political divides are united in their desire to ensure the governor wins a second term, hence the united front being forged ahead of the polls.

The governor’s exit from the PDP is said to have provided a soft landing for many political leaders and leaders of thought who could not join the governor in his old party but who now feel liberated following the planned movement of the governor into a new party.

“ Once the governor declares for a new party, there will be mass defection into that party from other old parties. The signs are there that admirers of the governor in other parties are eager to join him in his new abode. The PDP was the stumbling block prior to now”, a source privy to the development.

Those mobilising for the grand coalition cited several reasons among which are the various developmental projects ongoing in major towns across the state, asserting that only the re-election of the governor can ensure the completion of those landmark projects and commencement of their phase two across the towns.

Others cited injustices across the opposition parties in their handling of the governorship primaries, positing that refusal to allow internal democracy justifies silent exit for a new coalition and even predicting imminent implosion of the opposition parties ahead of the election.

While no one from the Adeleke camp is ready to confirm the development, a friend of the Adeleke family boasted that the grand coalition involves labour movements, artisans, youth groups, bureaucratic structures, mobility workers among others.

“Just wait for the governor to make his declaration. Osun people are ready to retain good governance and responsible leadership. Osun leaders and people are engaged in mass revolts against anti-democratic forces. Governor Jackson is going to win second term by landslide”, the family friend noted.
