The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Transportation, Hon. (Prince) Adedayo Adewale, has expressed deep sympathy to the families and people of Akinlalu Town in Ife-North Local Government Area of Osun State over the tragic incident that claimed innocent lives in the community.


In his condolence message, Prince Adewale described the occurrence as "a painful and regrettable tragedy that has cast a dark shadow over the peace-loving people of Akinlalu and indeed the entire Osun State." He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, praying for divine comfort and for the quick recovery of those injured in the unfortunate incident.


He said, “The loss of lives in such circumstance is a huge blow to our collective humanity. My thoughts and prayers are with every affected family, and I join the entire Osun people in mourning this sad development.”


Prince Adewale, however, commended the timely and decisive intervention of His Excellency, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, Executive Governor of Osun State, for his compassionate leadership in responding swiftly to the situation. He noted that the Governor’s directive for a thorough investigation, the dispatch of a high-powered government delegation to the affected community, and his commitment to ensuring justice and transparency have once again demonstrated the responsive and humane nature of his administration.


He added, “Governor Adeleke’s immediate steps in addressing the crisis have reassured the people that Osun is under a government that listens, acts, and values every citizen’s life. His empathy, sense of duty, and adherence to the rule of law stand as a model of people-centered leadership.”


Prince Adewale called on the residents of Akinlalu and surrounding communities to remain calm and trust in the ongoing investigation and peace efforts initiated by the state government. He urged everyone to avoid spreading fear or misinformation and to continue to support the government’s commitment to justice and peaceful coexistence.


He concluded by reaffirming his faith in the Adeleke administration’s dedication to protecting lives and fostering unity across the state, noting that “Osun State shall continue to rise above challenges under a leadership anchored on compassion, accountability, and service to the people.”

 CBN, Accountant-General Contradict APC on Osun LG Funds The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) on Monday contradicted the Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the release of withheld allocations belonging to the state’s local government councils.
