In a noteworthy session today at the Osun State House of Assembly, Commissioner of Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations , Hon. Biyi Odunlade, passionately defended the ministry's budget, flanked by his team of Special Advisers which include Permanent Secretary ,Special Adviser on Political Affairs, Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs, SSA Inter-Party Affairs ,PA to Mr Governor on Political Matters ,SSA Intergovernmental Affairs ,The Directors etc. With a compelling presentation, Hon. Biyi emphasized the critical role the ministry plays in fostering political stability and harmony within the state.


Highlighting the importance of a Political Affairs Ministry, Hon. Odunlade underscored its role in promoting civic engagement, public participation, and the overall development of a robust political landscape. He detailed specific initiatives and programs aimed at strengthening democracy and ensuring the smooth functioning of political processes.


As a result of his adept defense, the budget for the Ministry of Political Affairs and Intergovernmental Relations received widespread approval, reflecting a collective understanding of the pivotal role it plays in shaping the political climate of Osun State. The Commissioner's dedication to transparent governance and effective resource utilization serves as a testament to his commitment to advancing the democratic principles upon which the state thrives.

Osun State: New Statutory Commission Members Sworn into Office OSOGBO - 13/11/2023 - Osunstate.gov.ng New members of state statutory commissions including those of the State Judicial Service Commission have been sworn into office by the Deputy Governor of Osun State, Prince Kola Adewusi. The swearing in followed the confirmation of the nominees as forwarded to the State Assembly by Governor Ademola Adeleke. Those confirmed and sworn in include chairmen and members of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, Osun State Judicial Service Commission, Osun State Civil Service Commission, and Osun State House of Assembly Service Commission. Attorney General Clears Governor Adeleke of Involvement in Stepping Aside of Chief Judge, Says the Process is predicated on Petition written against the Chief Judge on Accountability Issue, amongst others . OSOGBO - 16/11/2023 - Osunstate.gov.ng The Commissioner for Justice and   Attorney General of Osun State,Mr Wole Jimi-Bada has cleared Governor Ademola Adeleke of involvement in the stepping aside of Mrs Adepele Ojo, which was predicated on a petition that prompted her being ask to step aside from office. In a statement issued on Thursday evening, the Commissioner narrated that a strongly worded petition was sent to the State Judicial Service Commission and the State House of Assembly, which lead to the hearing and eventual resolution of the State House of Assembly to ask the  the Chief Judge to step aside.
