SOOKO TAJUDEEN LAWAL IS AN ENEMY OF PROGRESS

SOOKO TAJUDEEN LAWAL IS AN ENEMY OF PROGRESS

There is this children's book I read while I was very young: "The Sun, the Moon and the Stars". Also, my Dad was always available for me to answer any of my questions, especially in the evening whenever I noticed anything new in the sky. So, whenever I got to school and told my friends that there was more than a star in the sky or that the sun was bigger than the size we see, they laughed at me. They didn't know because they didn't have access to the information I had.

The dullard that was imposed as the Osun APC Chairman today now behaves like those of my primary school friend. The difference between them is that my friends have the desire to know when the information is readily available but Tajudeen Lawal has blocked his mind from acquiring knowledge because he wants to, at all costs, protect his plate of porridge. Those of us who read books are not doing it for fun but we do it as a priority for us to be excellent leaders.

Strangely, a Sooko who grew up seeing good roads and developmental projects under Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo today sees nothing wrong in the dilapidated and bad condition that his thin god, Oyetola, left almost all the roads in his hometown.

In September, the Minister of Works announced the plans of the Federal Government to construct super highways connecting Abuja-Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Lagos. The project, the Minister said will be done through Public Private Partnership initiative. This is the plan of a government that owes contractors about 10 Trillion Naira as reported by Guardian Newspaper on the 11th of October, 2023.

Unfortunately, the highly deficient Sooko Tajudeen Lawal is not aware of such information let alone he will be able to say anything meaningful about it. Only an enemy of progress as described in Crash Tesla movie will say infrastructural development is not good.

I was discussing with a friend recently on human mentality. I posited that it is easy for an unexposed young man to run mentally when privileged to see superstructure which a boy who was born and nurtured in Ikoyi will not do. I think it was Shehu Sanni who said many of the politicians of today had little or no exposure before getting to position and that makes it difficult to understand how things work by the time their foray into politics avail them the opportunity of seeing roads, investment and development in developed state of nations.

Anyone who knows Tajudeen Lawal very well will not be disappointed at his uneducated statement that was written for him on the 100 Billion development program unveiled by the performing good-hearted incumbent governor of Osun State, Sen. Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke. Sooko is unaccustomed to development and that is why he almost went mad recently when he dashed a vehicle to upgrade his living standard.

It is unfortunate for Tajudeen Lawal that his party and boss, Oyetola could not make any meaningful developmental impact in Ile-Ife throughout his 48 months of reign in Osun. Now that a nobleman who understands the impact of infrastructural development on the growth and development of a state is in charge, Sooko could not bury his head in shame, rather he appended his signature on a conflicting piece written in his name.

In the piece, Tajudeen said the project is meant to enrich some people while in another breadth, he stylishly requested the governor to reveal the magic he intended to use to execute such an unprecedented project without borrowing.

That is the aspect that Tajudeen Lawal and his party remnants could not comprehend. Such will be difficult for anyone who belongs to a party that is known for impoverishing the masses and denying the workforce their entitlement to comprehend.

Late Nelson Mandela in one of his speeches said "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". Who do we blame for Sooko Tajudeen Lawal's unfortunate wrong mentality? Those who refused to give him education or Sooko himself who failed to acquire knowledge and worse, refused to adapt himself to modern realities.

Those of us who are privileged to have tapped into some of the APC platforms are aware of how the sane and reasonable ones among the APC are condemning Oyetola for his failure in infrastructural development, which culminated in his loss at the poll. Few of them are courageous enough to have even applauded Sen. Adeleke for the continuous work he is doing on the APC's unfinished projects. That alone is enough to inform Sooko Tajudeen Lawal that Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke is not chasing clout but focusing on his promises to develop the State.

Progress is distinct from an idea, to improve something is to envision its present state, have a definite idea of the endpoint you envisage, and have a plan and the expertise to guide it to the end. An idea needs not to be bogus, only functional. Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke understands how to make a slab of wood become a door, a table, or a flute. Sooko Tajudeen Lawal should shun bad belle politics, stop being an enemy of progress, and encourage what is good for our dear State.

Osun is a land of opportunity and we shall all witness her greatness under the leadership of Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke.
