Governor Adeleke Dissolves Statutory Commissions

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun state has approved the dissolution of statutory commissions with immediate  effect.


In a circular by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye, the dissolution takes immediate effect.


The affected commissions according to the SSG are the State Civil Service Commission, the Judicial Service Commission, Osun  State Independent Electoral  Commission and Osun State House of Assembly Service Commission.


The Secretary to the State Government conveyed the appreciation of Mr Governor to members of dissolved commissions for the selfless and meritorious service to the state.

Osun State: New Statutory Commission Members Sworn into Office OSOGBO - 13/11/2023 - Osunstate.gov.ng New members of state statutory commissions including those of the State Judicial Service Commission have been sworn into office by the Deputy Governor of Osun State, Prince Kola Adewusi. The swearing in followed the confirmation of the nominees as forwarded to the State Assembly by Governor Ademola Adeleke. Those confirmed and sworn in include chairmen and members of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, Osun State Judicial Service Commission, Osun State Civil Service Commission, and Osun State House of Assembly Service Commission. Attorney General Clears Governor Adeleke of Involvement in Stepping Aside of Chief Judge, Says the Process is predicated on Petition written against the Chief Judge on Accountability Issue, amongst others . OSOGBO - 16/11/2023 - Osunstate.gov.ng The Commissioner for Justice and   Attorney General of Osun State,Mr Wole Jimi-Bada has cleared Governor Ademola Adeleke of involvement in the stepping aside of Mrs Adepele Ojo, which was predicated on a petition that prompted her being ask to step aside from office. In a statement issued on Thursday evening, the Commissioner narrated that a strongly worded petition was sent to the State Judicial Service Commission and the State House of Assembly, which lead to the hearing and eventual resolution of the State House of Assembly to ask the  the Chief Judge to step aside.
