Deal with Staff Audit Saboteurs, Group Tasks Gov Adeleke




Osun State Government should fish out the cabal behind the attempted sabotage of the ongoing pension audit, Osun Democrats for Democracy (ODD), a political pressure group,  has declared.


Rising from its meeting at Osogbo Tuesday afternoon, the group alleged that a yet to be identified cabal mobilized pensioners to the screening venue even when they were not slated for the exercise.


The intention of the opposition activists was to create stampede and loss of lives as a way of blackmailing the government following recent conferment of award on the Governor by the state chapter of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners


The evil cabal mobilized innocent pensioners who arrived at the venue in their hundreds despite the fact that they were not slated for appearance on the said day.


God and immediate intervention of the Government foiled the dangerous plans  of the enemies of the government, hence the resolution of the crisis without any fatality.


While we commend the Government for acting promptly, we request urgent fishing out and punishment of those behind the plot. Government should no longer treat with kid-glove external and internal saboteurs who are hell bent on stopping the cleaning up of the suspected salary and pension fraud in the state.


We lauded Governor Adeleke for the decentralization of the exercise and the introduction of a mobile screening system. 


The Governor should follow up with intensive internal investigation. We also advised the consultant to cooperate with the new decentralization plans.


The Osun state government must not back down on the staff auditing process. The loopholes , the scam and the fraud must be stopped at all cost.
