AKIN ADEYI AND THE HEIGHT OF HIS NUISANCE

AKIN ADEYI AND THE HEIGHT OF HIS NUISANCE

If there is one thing that Akin Adeyi, an infamous security expert, has proven over the years, it is that he's a nuisance, whose feeble mindset on issues can hardly be missed. This plain truth about his personality lies at the root of his monumental dumb and misleading conclusion on the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Let's start with the top of his infamy cloaked in a piece titled: "ADELEKE AND THE SPIRIT OF PROMISE AND FAIL". In that piece, Adeyi showed his crippling and incurable defect of common sense by attributing a false claim to Governor Adeleke.

According to Adeyi, Governor Adeleke had at "the maiden edition of Ipade Imole that his government would flood the towns and cities of Osun with buses which, he said, would serve the people free with effect from 19th day of October, 2023." Anyone who followed the public accountability forum will not have a trouble that this is nothing but a blatant falsehood.

For sometime now, we have misclassified Adeyi's penchant for falsehood as politics, but it appears to be a deliberate attempt to mislead the public. At Ipade Imole, Governor Adeleke deferred question on when the public transport scheme being contemplated by the State Government would be available for the public to the Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Sesan Oyedele.

And contrary to Adeyi shameless lie, Mr. Oyedele pointedly noted that "the buses will be released for public use by November 19." Where Adeyi now come about his October 19 timeframe? Perhaps he is too ingrain with lies that he could confuse November 19 for October 19 in his propaganda drive.

But that was not the end of Adeyi's folly. Without any known knowledge on engineering or even accessing the vehicles refurbished by the State Government to contribute to the planned transportation scheme, Adeyi ignorantly concluded that they are unfit for use. He got even worse when he alluded to 'fraud' it is glaring that he doesn't have any idea on what he is talking for.

The mistake I think Adeyi is making is looking at the Adeleke administration from the prism of the failed government embodied by his party, the APC. By now, Adeyi should have known that Governor Adeleke is not reckless and wasteful in spending as well pronounced under the APC government, hence, embarked on the refurbishment of the vehicles in the pool of the State upon technical evaluation from known professionals in the field. That is not something a novice in engineering like Adeyi can just rubbish.

This doesn't even mean that Governor Adeleke have no plan to buy new vehicles for the transportation scheme. He did and announced it at Ipade Imole, explaining that the new vehicles would be added to the refurbished vehicles to better serve the populace.

Osun people are smarter and can see through the jejune logic of Adeyi. They knew what exactly they went through under the misrule of Adeyi's party and can see the passionate interest that Governor Adeleke has put into improving their situation.

In the last 11 months of his administration, Governor Adeleke has concentrated effort at reversing the ugly trends of things caused by Adeyi's party mismanagement over the years. Salaries owed, pension and gratuities accumulated, abandoned projects, among other failings of Adeyi's party is what Governor Adeleke is busy fixing for the benefits of the people.

If Adeyi wants Osun people to take him serious, he should help with some answers on what his party used the over N400 billion debt incurred on. The people are waiting!
