 Tribunal Verdict: Osun PDP Congratulates Hon Ajilesoro



The PDP in Osun State has congratulated the Lawmaker representing Ife Federal Constituency, Taofeek Abimbola Ajilesoro over the unanimous affirmation of his election as the duly elected member, House of Representatives by the 3-man panel of judges hearing the petition against his election, describing the victory as further affirmation of popular mandate of the people, both for the Lawmaker and the PDP.


Osun PDP Chairman, Hon Sunday Bisi while reacting to the ruling of the tribunal on Thursday, described the victory as a welcome development just as he posited that the victory couldn't have gone otherwise going by the weight of evidence placed before the jurists, laying emphatic credence to the clear victory of the PDP Lawmaker, Hon Abimbola Ajilesoro.


The State PDP Chairman remarked that the approval rating of Hon Ajilesoro going into the general election that got him elected was never in doubt such that it would have been extremely difficult if not impossible for his opponent to pull any surprise having contested on a platform already thrown under the bus of rejection by overwhelming majority of electorate in the state.


"While we are not oblivious of the next state of the petition, we are however confident of the ability of the lawmaker to defend the popular mandate of the people to the finish line"


"Our great party will continue to encourage elected representatives on the banner of our party to stand in the way of the habitual mandate usurpers, who thrive mainly on moral insolvency of electoral robbery for personal aggrandizement"


The PDP urged the people of Ife Federal Constituency to continue to support Hon Ajilesoro in his efforts to serve them diligently as a legislator in the national assembly.
