Ife Ooye LCDA Distributed Palliative item (Rice) in an effort to cushion the effect of removal of petroleum subsidy; Lauds State Government over Template.




The Chairman, lfe Ooye LCDA, Hon. Ijiwoye Olalekan distributed food items to groups/associations to cushion the effect of petrol subsidy removal on the masses. It would be recalled that the State Government had this week flagged off distribution of the food item (Rice) across all the 30 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and the Area Office. 


Hon. Ijiwoye who supervised the exercise lauded the State Government under the leadership of Senator. Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke for coming up with a thoughtful template for the distribution.



The Chairman said, “all groups/associations at the Local Government based on the template given to us were carried along in the distribution of the palliative item (Rice) sent from the State Government”. “Those who received the items were; Religious Associations, Labour Unions, Political Parties, Market Groups, Persons Living With Disabilities, Artisans, Transporters, DSS, NPF, Civil Defense, VGN, AMOTEKUN, NULGE, NUP, NUT, CSOs, Youths, Students bodies” he added.



Honourable Ijiwoye assured the people of Ife Ooye LCDA that the state government as well as the local government is working on palliative measures to further cushion the effect of petrol subsidy removal on the populace.

The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has disclosed plans by his government to launch palliatives to cushion the impact of subsidy removal, declaring his administration's readiness to make life easy for residents of Osun state.  Former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola and other stakeholders of the party also commended the Governor for robust performance and delivery of good governance in the last seven months.
