Governor Adeleke sets to welcome businessmen worldwide to explore Osun's investment potentials
In his efforts to develop Osun from sole dependence on Civil Service into an industrialized State, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke's administration is prepared to welcome investors across the globe to tap into the investment potentials of Osun State.
This commitment was restated by the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo at the just concluded African International Trade Exhibition held at the Hilton Hotel Midtown, Manhattan, New York City, USA.
Osun is the only State in the country that participated while Nigeria's President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu was represented by the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite alongside other notable leaders across the world.
The ultimate motive of Osun State led by Governor Adeleke and Nigeria President His Excellency Bola Tinubu in their separate voyage to Trade Exhibition in the United States is to attract foreign investors, who will maximise investment opportunities in the country, for the benefits of its citizens.
Recall that the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Uzoka-Anite and Governor Adeleke of Osun State has severally promised to draw more investments into the country and demonstrate a strong resolve to facilitate a business-friendly environment that nurtures the growth of local businesses.
According to the Osun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Jenyo in New York City, America, "our amiable Governor, His Excellency, Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has said it unequivocally that his administration will change Osun from Civil Service only to an industrialized State by creating an enabling environment for investment, both local and foreign".
"It is now conspicuous that Mr. Governor is walking the talk. We are here meeting several people, and discussing varying templates to attract foreign investors into the State", he said.
The central focus of the African International Trade Exhibition include Business, Trade and Investment Summit, African Fashion Exhibition and African Films Screening.
Some of the dignitaries from Nigeria who are physically present at the event are the Honourable Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo SAN, FCT Minister of State, Mariya Mahmoud Bankure, a former member of the House of Representatives and DG Diaspora Commission, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, wife of the Osun State Governor, Chief Mrs Ngozi Adeleke, Nigerian Consular General in Canada, Consular General Nigeria, New York Ambassador Lot Egopija, Mayor of New York, Hon. Eric Adams, First Bank MD/CEO Dr. Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan among others.
