 Governor Ademola Adeleke: The Maker of Exciting Pensioners

The conventional wickedness is adding salt to injury of pensioners by past government in Osun State. They were refused to enjoy what they laboured for. Many lost their lives in hope of getting their gratuity and pension yet all efforts proved abortive.


Thanks to Gov Ademola Adeleke for taking the bull by the horns and putting smiles in the faces of senior citizens in Osun State. The people's governor is really changing the narratives.


Promise made, promised fulfilled!


The governor knows that promise is a debt and he is going to be  queried by God. Governor Adeleke needs not to worry because he has witnesses to testify that since he assumed office. The pensioners have been smiling to the banks. Kudos to the electorates who terminated continuity of hardship and voted a man with angel heart - Governor Ademola Adeleke.


This government is barely eight months, inherited weak funding and the state purse was almost in red with harsh deduction and repayment of loan from past government. Despite that, our dear governor still keeps to the campaign promises.


It is well known that Governor Adeleke doesn't come from poor background. He is not in office to enrich himself that is why he is sacrificing to make Osun citizens both old and young to live in ecstasy.


Let hear from horse's mouth:


"Since my assumption of office, I have demonstrated the deepest passion to serve public interest, young and old. We are sacrificing, cutting cost and denying ourselves of many gains of office. The reason, before man and God, is my desire to clear the avoidable mess the former government left behind."


How many governors can make such a statement? If not our messiah who comes to serve humanity. From their fruits, you shall know them! It not hear-say, the record is there to confirm both infrastructural and economic development in Osun State have been going on for the past eight months. Even the opposition forgets prejudice and commends the performing governor.


The governor is consistently paying pensioners in Osun State. Facts and figures testify: apart from about N3.6bn committed to the payment of pension from December, 2022 to date.  


At state level alone between November, 2022 and this month a sum of N4,924,829,243.00 (Over four billion naira) had been released for payment of gratuity and accrued rights benefits of retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme in the Ministries, Departments and Agencies, secondary and tertiary institutions.  


Likewise, between November, 2022 and this month of August, 2023 total sum  of N8,572,152,849.05 (Eight billion naira) had been released for  payment of pensions, gratuity and accrued rights benefits for local government and primary school retirees under the Contributory Pension Scheme.


We believe if such amount of money are in circulation every retirees will enjoy his/her life to the fullest. Is there any palliative more than this for the old citizens?


Governor Ademola Adeleke deserves to be commended for doing great in Osun State.
