20th July 2023 - Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency

Today, the people of Ila gathered in large numbers at the palace of Orangun of Ila to welcome representatives from the Ministry of Power, who travelled from Abuja. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the persistent issues surrounding the poor electricity supply that has been plaguing the constituency.

This crucial gathering was made possible by the efforts of Hon Clement Akanni, the federal lawmaker representing Boluwaduro/Ifedayo/Ila Federal Constituency. This is in line with the response of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry during the Hon. Clement Akanni's visit to the ministry on 27th June where he reaffirmed his commitment to the well-being of his communities and constituents and stated that part of the commitment has driven him to take this initiative and find a lasting solution to the issue of inadequate power supply in the constituency.

The meeting served as a platform for a comprehensive exchange of ideas, and the Ministry of Power has pledged to act on the recommendations agreed upon by all stakeholders.

The people of Ila Federal Constituency extend their profound appreciation to Hon Clement Akanni for his unprecedented efforts and assure him of their unwavering support as he continues to work towards improving the stability of power supply in the region.

The meeting was attended by Hon. Bajepade of Ila State Constituency and various representatives from different sectors of the community, including traditional rulers, chiefs, elites, electrical engineers and experts, IBEDC officials, partisans, market women, youth, and students.
