The recent press release from the Osun All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman regarding the Commissioner nominees' list sent to the House of Assembly by Governor Ademola Adeleke is a stark reminder of the party's consistent incompetence as an opposition. The Osun APC's lazy and misguided response demonstrates their failure to do proper background research on the nominees. The Osun APC has consistently failed to fulfil its role as a competent opposition party, just as it previously demonstrated its inability to govern effectively.


The Osun APC's hasty condemnation of the Commissioner nominees' list reveals a striking lack of diligence and research. Rather than taking the time to investigate the backgrounds and achievements of the individuals on the list, the party resorted to baseless criticism. This approach not only undermines their credibility but also exposes their inability to perform as a responsible opposition party. If the Osun APC had conducted a thorough investigation, they would have recognized the success and competence of the nominees, thus refraining from making unfounded accusations.


Contrary to the Osun APC's claims, the Commissioner nominees chosen by Governor Ademola Adeleke are highly accomplished individuals in their respective fields. These nominees have demonstrated their expertise and dedication through their notable achievements. The Governor's careful selection demonstrates a commitment to appointing individuals with relevant expertise, experience, and a track record of success. Instead of acknowledging the calibre of the nominees, the Osun APC chose to resort to baseless criticism, further exposing their lack of insight and understanding.


The Osun APC's response to the Commissioner nominees' list serves as a stark reminder of their own incompetence in governance when they held power. If the party had been competent leaders during their tenure, they would have recognized the importance of appointing capable individuals to key positions. Instead, their dismissive attitude towards the nominees further undermines their credibility as a party capable of offering effective governance and leadership.


By disregarding the achievements and qualifications of the Commissioner nominees, the Osun APC demonstrates a lack of concern for the progress and development of Osun State. The Governor's nominees have been chosen based on their proven track records and expertise, highlighting a commitment to appointing capable individuals who can contribute to the betterment of the state. 


The Osun APC's failure to recognize this fact indicates their lack of interest in the welfare of the people and their misplaced focus on political grandstanding. This behaviour only reinforces the public's perception of the party's ineptitude as an opposition party. The people of Osun State deserve better than the ineptitude displayed by their opposition party.
