Breaking: Osun NULGE Members Shun Duty Resumption, Continue Stay at Home Action Reports from across the 30 local governments and Area Council indicated that local government workers shunned directive to resume work by an APC sponsored group within the state NULGE. Checks across the state confirmed that the workers rejected the group labelled Concerned Members of Osun NULGE. In some LGAs, some hired hands were seen parading themselves as LG staff but they left soon after they were settled by their APC sponsors. The APC had plotted to arrest NULGE leaders and force them to announce resumption of duty. The plot failed as the labour leaders could not be tracked and as they insisted  that stay at home action was meant to protect their members from violence due to the leadership issues surrounding local government administration in the state  Meanwhile, preparations are on for LG workers to collect their 2025 promotion letters from the local government service commission.

An Oyo State High Court sitting in Ibadan, presided over by Justice A. L. Akintola, granted the interim injunction in an ex-parte motion brought by the elected chairmen. The order restrains UBA from paying, releasing, or tampering with funds deposited in the 30 local government accounts where the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had controversially lodged statutory allocations belonging to Osun councils.
